Awareness and Outreach

Awareness and outreach help Bee the Hope share stories, educate the community, advocate for families, and build stronger support around those navigating pediatric cancer.

Current focus

Storytelling, Utah advocacy partnerships, and outreach work that helps the community better understand and respond.

What this includes

  • Sharing stories that humanize the pediatric cancer experience
  • Outreach opportunities with local media, partners, and community groups
  • Educational content that strengthens community understanding
  • Working with special interest groups in Utah on legislative efforts that could improve health insurance coverage and pediatric cancer research support

Direct connection to family needs

Lauren is also a member of the Primary Children's Hospital Family Advisory Council, which keeps Bee the Hope closely connected to families and the challenges they face during treatment and recovery.

That direct connection helps shape outreach priorities, advocacy efforts, and the way Bee the Hope responds to real family needs.

Awareness in the community

Public awareness helps families feel less invisible and creates more space for understanding, advocacy, and responsive community support.

Why outreach matters

Outreach is not separate from family care. It helps make pediatric cancer needs visible to decision-makers, partners, and the broader community.
